Laser hair removal in Northwest Indiana

Retire the razor without driving to Chicago. Medical-grade diode and Nd:YAG lasers — safe for every skin tone — operated by certified laser technicians, with package pricing published right on this page.

How it works

Light that turns follicles off — for good

Each pulse of laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in your hair, traveling down the shaft to disable the follicle at its root. Because only follicles in their active growth phase respond — and at any moment just a fraction of your hair is in that phase — results come from a series of sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, not a single visit.

We treat with medical-grade diode and Nd:YAG lasers, not the lower-powered IPL devices many salons market as “laser.” The Nd:YAG wavelength is the gold standard for deeper skin tones, which means we treat Fitzpatrick types I through VI safely and effectively. Your settings are chosen by a certified laser technician working under physician direction — calibrated to your skin and hair in a test spot, not read off a franchise script. If you’re comparing providers, our guide to choosing a med spa covers exactly which credentials to ask about.

  • Session time: 10 minutes for underarms, up to 60 for a full back
  • Feels like: warm rubber-band snaps, eased by built-in cooling
  • Plan for: 6–8 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart
  • Works best on: hair with pigment — dark or brown, any skin tone

Pricing by area — singles and six-packs

Hair grows in staggered cycles, so one session only catches the follicles that happen to be active that day. That’s why we price honest packages of six — the number most areas actually need — instead of selling single sessions that can’t finish the job.

Area Per session Package of 6
Underarms from $89 $445
Lip & chin from $99 $495
Brazilian from $159 $795
Lower legs from $179 $895
Full back from $249 $1,245
Test spot & skin assessment Included free

Packages never expire and are priced at roughly five sessions for the cost of six. Gentlemen: back and chest are two of our most-booked areas — see our men’s treatments page, or compare every service on our full pricing page.

Honest fit check

Who it’s for — and who it isn’t

Laser hair removal is a great fit if you’re tired of shaving, waxing, or ingrowns on underarms, legs, bikini line, face, back, or chest — and your hair has pigment for the laser to find. Deeper skin tones are fully welcome here; our Nd:YAG protocol was built for them.

We’ll also tell you plainly when it isn’t the right spend:

  • White, gray, or true-blonde hair doesn’t respond. No pigment, no target — no laser can fix that, and we won’t sell you sessions pretending otherwise. Electrolysis is the honest answer, and we’ll point you to it.
  • Active tans need to fade first. Fresh sun, tanning beds, and spray tans raise the risk of pigment changes, so we’ll reschedule rather than treat tanned skin.
  • Certain medications and pregnancy mean waiting — your free consultation screens for all of it before you spend a dollar.

How the series goes

Consult & test spot

Free 30 minutes in Crown Point. We map your skin type, run a test pulse, and write your per-area plan with the exact package price — approved by you before anything starts.

Treat every 4–6 weeks

Shave the area the night before, arrive product-free, and you’re in and out fast. Expect visibly less regrowth after sessions two and three; most areas finish in 6–8 sessions.

Smooth maintenance

After your series, most clients are 80–90% reduced for the long term. Hormonal areas may want a single touch-up session every year or so — priced as singles, never as another package.

Good questions

Laser hair removal FAQs

Does laser hair removal hurt?

Most clients describe it as quick warm snaps — a rubber band flick — rated around 3/10. Our devices cool the skin with every pulse, and sensitive areas like the Brazilian are more “brisk” than painful. It’s notably easier than waxing, and each session is short: underarms take about ten minutes.

How many sessions will I actually need?

Plan on 6–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Hair grows in staggered cycles and the laser only disables follicles in their active phase, so the series is biology, not upselling. Coarse dark hair on fair skin can finish closer to six; hormonal areas like the chin may take a couple more.

Can I shave between sessions?

Yes — please do. Shaving is the only hair removal allowed during your series; in fact we ask you to shave the night before each visit. What you can’t do is wax, pluck, or thread, because those pull out the root the laser needs to target.

Is it safe for dark skin tones?

Yes — when it’s done with the right wavelength by trained hands. Our Nd:YAG laser bypasses surface melanin to target the follicle, making it safe for Fitzpatrick V–VI skin. Every plan starts with a test spot, and your settings are set by a certified technician under physician direction, never copied from a chain’s preset chart.

Can I do laser in the summer, or if I tan?

You can treat year-round, but the area needs to be tan-free — no fresh sun, tanning beds, or spray tan for about two weeks before and after each session, plus daily SPF on treated areas. That’s why so many Region clients start their series in fall and are done shaving by beach season at the Dunes.
