Radiant Black woman in her thirties with glowing natural skin in soft window light, wearing an ivory knit, at the Crown Point med spa serving Merrillville

Serving Merrillville · one exit past Southlake

A calmer med spa, ten minutes south of Merrillville

You already drive the US-30 & Broadway corridor every week. Keep going one exit: our physician-directed Crown Point studio trades the retail rush for printed pricing, experienced RN injectors, and lasers calibrated for every skin tone.

Beyond the mall corridor

A syringe next to a food court is retail. This is medicine.

Merrillville is where the Region shops. US-30 and Broadway cross right here, I-65 empties into the Southlake corridor, and on a Saturday half of Lake County is circling the same parking lots. That retail gravity has pulled in a wave of walk-in injectable storefronts — quick, loud, staffed like franchises, and gone by the next lease cycle. Convenient? Sure. But aesthetic medicine deserves better than the energy of a kiosk.

Our studio sits one exit further: ten to twelve minutes straight down Broadway in downtown Crown Point. It is physician-directed, the injectors are nurses who average nine years of experience, and every price is printed before you sit down — you can meet the people behind the protocols on our team page.

One more thing that matters here specifically. Merrillville is the most diverse large town in Lake County, and too many laser chains quietly run a single device tuned for light skin. We treat every Fitzpatrick type, I through VI, with the wavelength and settings matched to your skin — read exactly how on our laser hair removal page.

Mall storefront vs. medical studio

  • Physician-directed protocols — not a franchise script
  • RN injectors with years in the chair, named on our site
  • Laser settings for every skin tone, Fitzpatrick I–VI
  • Printed pricing up front — never a membership ambush
  • A calm room ten minutes from the corridor, not a stall beside one

Laser hair removal

Safe for Fitzpatrick I–VI: we match the device and wavelength to your skin instead of turning you away — expertise the corridor’s discount chains rarely carry.

Merrillville questions

Straight answers for the crossroads

Is laser hair removal actually safe for darker skin?

Yes — with the right device and the right operator, and that caveat is everything. Melanin-rich skin absorbs more laser energy, so a machine tuned for light skin can cause burns or pigmentation changes on Fitzpatrick V–VI. We treat deeper skin tones with a 1064 nm Nd:YAG, longer pulse durations, conservative test spots, and physician-directed protocols. If a clinic cannot tell you which wavelength it uses on darker skin, keep driving — full details on our laser hair removal page.

What is the difference between a mall med spa and a medical spa?

Supervision and accountability. A storefront franchise often runs on a corporate script with rotating injectors; a true medical spa operates under a directing physician who sets protocols, reviews candidacy, and is accountable for outcomes. Ours also publishes pricing and tells you when a treatment is not right for you — including when a $0 skincare habit beats a $900 procedure.

Do you have evening hours?

Weekday appointments run until 6pm, and most injectable visits take about thirty minutes — a 5:15 slot after a Southlake run is realistic. Saturdays (9am–2pm) catch the overflow.

Do you have a Merrillville location?

No, and we will not invent one for a map pin. Our only studio is in downtown Crown Point, ten to twelve minutes down Broadway. “Serving Merrillville” means a short, familiar drive — not a second address.
